vanAnaarBeter award
7-12-2006
On the seventh of December of 2006, the Dutch minister of traffic handed out the vanAnaarBeter award. The award for the one who has found the best solution for traffic jam prevention. The award itself was a bronze statue designed by the artist Peter Jansen. The production of the award was done in close cooperation between Protometals and TNO Industrie en Techniek.
Because of the used rapid-prototyping technique, we became a very special surface structure. For us it was a challenge to translate this structure to the cast bronze statue. Also the very fine details of the statue were a challenge to get them in full detail in the bronze.
Within the very short time we had in front of the hand over of the award, we managed to deliver the statue in the quality which was demanded both by the artist and the principal.

The master mostly exists of sculpture wax or gypsum. The series varies from one until more than hundred. Underneath some pictures of the castings we made.

Strange birds for Art Galerie Maurice Vrolijk
2005/2006
The strange birds are no strangers for us anymore. By using ceramic masters, from each bird we made a silicon mould. In this mould we cast our wax models. The bronze statues are delivered in commission.
